If you are looking to buy a wine to surprise your friends or your family, choose Pincerna Rosé. At any time of the year, and especially in spring and summer, it is a safe choice to accompany an aperitif or a dinner with friends on a terrace or in the garden. The rosé from Bodegas Pincerna brings together qualities that make it unique: it is young, fresh and elegant. Not heavy. After a first drink, the first sensation is a great aromatic explosion in the mouth, especially of strawberry, mixed with heavier, somewhat less fresh aromas. And a slight bitterness at the end, not unpleasant, that invites us to take a second drink. The prieto picudo grapes for our rosé comes from a young vineyard of 20 or 30 years, and come from different areas of the D.O. León, which is divided between North and South. Thus, depending on each year’s weather conditions, the grapes are harvested from selected plots, always looking for an aromatic fraction, because aromas are the main thing in our rosé. How do we get those aromas that make it unique? To begin with, we choose to harvest those areas where conditions were extreme (colder). The exact moment to harvest the grapes is also important: we prefer to harvest a little earlier than for the rest of the wines, just when the grape has a lower grade but many more aromas. If we leave the grapes in the vineyard for longer, we would lose aromatic fraction and gain alcoholic fraction, which is not what we are interested in for our Pincerna Rosado. Once the grapes are in the winery and throughout the production process, all the steps we take follow our main objective: to preserve the aromatic fraction so that our customers can fully enjoy all the aromas in their glass of wine.
